This is the shawl I knitted for my SIL’s birthday tomorrow. At first I was kind of turned off by the multicolored pink yarn, but as I continued to knit it grew on me and I think it turned out pretty awesome. I decided to knit with the black yarn in the middle for two reasons.
Firstly because I felt that I needed a solid color to balance out the craziness of the pink. Although I do believe now that all pink would have worked just as well. Secondly, I did not have enough of the pink yarn to knit the entire shawl in a decent length. I know it looks short, but it is long enough to wrap around and stay warm in. Well, as warm as one can be with a holey shawl!
I still want to knit one for myself, but I’m ready to move on to a different project. What that is I’m still not 100% sure yet. I’m thinking of drawing up a pattern for a camisole done in daisy stitch, but then I’d have to get down that daisy stitch. Plus the weather is making it difficult for me to even think about wearing summer clothes. 😦
I might put knitting on hold for a week or two because I’m getting an idea for a baby blanket. But we will see!
